About The Project

Project description ROB4U

Achieving active European citizenship and promoting the European dimension can be named as the
overarching goal. In our opinion, this dimension can best take place through meaningful and goal-
oriented encounters at the regional level, which is happening here. In this way, this project will also
contribute to the fact that learners and teachers open up a professional field that has a very
promising future and deal together with an action product that is developed alongside the lessons.

There will be a total of 8 activities (short-term exchanges) that are necessary to achieve the project
goals. These activities have been designed to build on each other and adapt to the participants‘
curricula. In this way, the knowledge gained can be applied directly in the project. The exchange also
leads to the acquisition of additional, non-technical skills. Here, for example, intercultural
competence should be mentioned.

At the end of the project, two similar welcome Robots are to be developed, built and used in
international student teams. They should be able to welcome guests in the entrance area, get in
touch with them e.g. via QR codes, answer simple questions in several languages and accompany the
visitor to their destination. In a final contest, both welcome robots will compete against each other.
They remain in the schools after the end of the project.
